Let Macaroni Kid Help You Plan Your Week

Find the Best Dance Parties, Storytimes, Museum Events & More

Last weekend we were blessed with such beautiful weather and I needed it since my sisters were visiting. With 5 children ages five and under we were thrilled to be able to take them to the playground for an afternoon.  I was so disappointed when the rain, sleet and snow fell on Monday morning, but thankfully I am heading south for a few days.  You are getting your newsletter early this week because my family is off to Disney World for seven days.  Seeing Mickey, swimming, riding rides and entertainment at every turn is all that we have been talking about for the past month.

However, we are disappointed to be missing some of the great events going on while we are out of town.  You can sing and dance to Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players at Symphony Space on Saturday or  Erin Lee and the Up Past Bedtime Band at 92YTribeca, Baby Loves Disco at Le Poisson Rouge, or  Jam on Dumbo at Water Street Restaurant on Sunday.  Every day you can find a storytime or special event at any one of the wonderful bookstores in the area or your local library.  Books of Wonders has five middle grade novel authors presenting on Saturday and Ottendorfer Library at a Superheroes! Book Party on Tuesday.   This is also the final weekend for the New York International Children's Film Festival and there are still tickets available for select shows.

Last week Pamela Keefer, of Baby Body Boot Camp NYC. contributed a great article about Exercise in a Nutshell. Please contact us with any exercise questions or topics you would like her to cover in future articles!

Congratulations to Olga -- last weeks winner of the Pasta! A Pop Ups Puppet Musical tickets.  Enjoy the show!
