I cannot say enough good things about The Amazing Max and The Box of Interesting Things show. It was fun, interactive and yes amazing! I took my kids to see the show last weekend on the day it snowed.  After a miserable time out that morning I had to drag them to the show.  It was going to take a lot to get us to smile.  When we entered the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center Freckleface Strawberry had just let out and the line in the small lobby waiting for her autograph was a bit overwhelming for me, but not for my kids.  I could see the smiles sneaking onto their faces and the excitement building.  When we were finally led downstairs and into the theater they were thrilled to learn that we had been given seats in the front so they got to sit on the rug in front of the stage.  Once the show got started we didn't want it to end.

Max Darwin, the magician, does everything right. He engages with the audience, picks volunteers of all ages as assistants and performs great magic.  He even controlled a rowdy child in the front row with some playful banter.  The show will keep children as young as 3 laughing and wondering "how did he do that" for the entire 50 minute performance.  This is a show that will not disappoint!

Details:  The Amazing Max and The Box of Interesting Things is a Magic Show with a mind of its own.  Magician Max Darwin makes objects appear out of thin air, as the laws of physics are defied, and miracles are performed inches from spectators’ faces.  As the props onstage seem intent on surprising even the magician himself, this out of control show bursts with striking visual magic, comedy and juggling, and loads of audience participation.  The Amazing Max and The Box of Interesting Things is the wackiest, most interactive, highest energy magic show for families on the market today.
